Reception of certificates of training courses for
lawyers on “ Legal Profession & Human Rights” convened by ACIJLP (1997 –
1998):
ACIJLP held a
reception of certificates of training courses for lawyer that convened
from 1997 to 1998 on “ Legal Profession & Human Rights”. Reception was in
the Egyptian Bar Association on 25 August 1998 that attended by members of
trusteeship board of ACIJLP, directors of human rights organizations in
Egypt, senior unionists of Bar and all trainers including judges lawyers
and law and psychology professors.
The reception
started with introductory notes of Mr. Atef Shahat, ACIJLP’s training
officer; Mr. Atef Al-Bana, board of trustee’s member; Mr. Abdel Aziz
Mohamed, president of Cairo Bar; Ms. Tahany El-Gebaly, board of trustee’s
member and Prof. Mohamed Ewiss, Dean of High Studies Institute for Social
defense.
ACIJLP announced
during the reception the establishment of volunteer lawyers network of
defenders for violations against lawyers in police stations and Egyptian
courts in all Egypt governorates. The reception concluded of delivering
certificates to 185 young trained lawyers.
