Fifth Free Training Term
For Egyptian Lawyers
The Arab Center
for the Independence of the Judiciary and the Legal Profession (ACIJLP)
resumed its activity in the field of free training courses for Egyptian
lawyers since 13 January 2004 until the end of the same year, one course
per month in the ACIJLP’s premises. Such training courses supported by
Danish International Development Assistance (DANIDA).
It is scheduled
that these courses will include subjects related to legal profession and
human rights such as legal profession is a duty, rights and guarantees for
lawyers in the national and international legislation, using of
international instruments before national courts and skills of
communication and persuasion in the field of legal profession.
These training courses for lawyers aim at contributing
to raise legal awareness for Egyptian lawyers as well as to exchange
experiences between trainers and trainees.
It is worth mentioning that these courses form the
fifth training term for Egyptian lawyers as ACIJLP convened four training
terms since 1997 (12 courses per term).
One thousand and five hundred Egyptian lawyers of
different categories as their registration at the Bar Association
participated in the previous training terms. Prominent law and psychology
professors, lawyers and activists in the field of human rights trained
such lawyers. |
